Some good things to write about at last. Helga had a daughter. Georg is a Father at last! The baby is as yet unnamed. She was two weeks too early but is fine and thriving. Georg phoned me to tell me and we both shed at few tears as Mama will never see this little one. However, it is great despite this.
Rhys and BJ went to Kindergarten today and Rhys was quite cross when he came out. He stood there stamping his feet and eventually I discovered that he got told off for pushing another kid. I managed to discover that this poor child was pushed because he colored the sky in his picture Purple. Rhys found this quite maddening. All the way home he kept repeating "Sky is blue. Sky is red. Sky is black. Sky isn't Purple." Hmmm.
BJ looked very happy and kept saying loudly "oh fuck." This is good because he is putting two words together but I didn't really want the first two words he said together to be "oh fuck." Rhys didn't help matters because he kept saying "fuck is a bad word" every time BJ said it. They are now in the Paddle Pool--naked. I covered them in sun spay which BJ didn't like at all. Naturally William is over here in the Pool too.
Harry has gone over to a Friend of his for a sleep-over. This will not involve much sleep. Anna-Louise, Carly and Fern are working on a Banner. It is huge and has Dr Who and Captain Jack and a Darlek on it. They intend to send it to the BBC when it is finished. If it ever is----
I am still amazed that Mama had so much money. Why didn't she spend it on herself?

Anna-Louise fell out of a tree next door and has broken her ankle. She is in the Hospital but will be coming out tomorrow, we hope. BJ fell off the Dining table and had to have two stitches in his head. There was blood everywhere and BJ screamed so loudly one of our neighbors from four doors away came over to see what was wrong. Anna-Louise was very brave. I wasn't. I was in such a mess that Harry made me a cup of tea and put six spoonfuls of sugar in it. Harry also called the Ambulance and Dan. It was five minutes before the Ambulance arrived for Anna-Louise that BJ fell off the table.
Then I hear that JB has injured his ankle as well. I am so tired of ankles right now. Poor John.
By the way, I am pregnant. Yes, I am pregnant again and I am 41. HELP! My Doctor cheerfully told me that he has a Patient who had her tenth child at the age of 48. I just hope this one is healthy.

Anna-Louise is home and is having a great time. She has a bright Pink plaster and is at this very minute sitting with her foot up surrounded by admiring fans. Her plaster is already covered with words and pictures.
BJ holds his head whenever anyone comes near him and says "sore". I told the kids about the baby and Rhys said "oh no--more baby" and fell flat on his face on the floor groaning. It was very funny. Rhys is becoming quite humorous.
I felt nauseated this morning. Dan got the littles up and made breakfast. The baby is due January 1st. I will still be 41 then. Hmmm

If there is anyone who likes my stories I am sorry I have not written any lately. I do not know when I will get to writing again as I am so busy and pregnant again. I did not plan to have any more but -----anyhow---
Mama's finances are going to take some long time to sort. So no money yet---this month is Rhys and Harry's birthdays too. Harry will be 15 and Rhys will be 3.

Children of Earth notes.
Dan was irritated at me for withdrawing my note about the showing of COE at the BFI. He said-- who cares if other folk don't agree with you about Eve, or someone's hair or something, your opinion is as good as theirs--- he said I should put it back up and if they don't agree with something ---anyhow, he pointed out that everyone who knows you knows you can't tell left from right or clockwise from anti clockwise either but you are still a good driver. So---you can find it here after plowing through this and there is some family stuff too----
Children of Earth at the BFI June 12th 2009
Thanks to my cousin, who has been a member of the BFI for years, we were able to attend this event. Thanks also to Clive and Andrea who baby-sat for us. We arrived a few moments before the start, as Dan insisted on visiting the Bar. Dan always visits every Bar we come across everywhere. He doesn't actually drink much--he just likes Bars. In fact, some years ago he met John Barrowman in one, but that is another story--
Anyhow, just after we sat down John himself arrived on crutches. He has one of those plastic contraptions on his leg right up to the knee. I had to tell Anna-Louise that it was white--she was quite disappointed! From where we were sitting we could see him and the other panel members clearly. Gareth wasn't there--no idea why.
Children of Earth proved to be great. Exciting, humorous, and Part One ended on a cliffhanger which left us, and everyone else I suspect, wanting more. I wont say anything else------
After it finished we were treated to a question and answer session hosted by Caitlin Moran, who evidently is from The Times newspaper, I think. I thought her hair was awful but she seemed very nice and also knowledgeable. Also there was RTD, Eve, John and the director, Euros Lyn. Eve is pregnant of course and this made me feel more interested in her than I have been before. We pregnant women must stick together. She and John seem to have a great rapport and I found I was wondering if this interferes with their on film characters at any time. RTD made me think of Rhys's Teddy bear. Plump and slightly disheveled and probably furry. He made me think of our local MP who I met once.
Anyhow, I warmed to Eve for the first time ever. The discussion was interesting but I must admit I spent most of the time staring at John and wondering if his leg hurt much. Several times he shifted position and put his hand on it but he has always been a person who can't appear to sit still, much like myself, so this probably signified nothing.

The last few minutes were taken with folk in the audience asking questions, someone asked why Dr Who didn't come to the rescue if the planet was in such dire danger and RTD said he had already thought of that and wait and see---or something like that---anyhow-- I had the impression that the Doctor gets involved at some point. Gwen finds out she is pregnant when a man in a Mental facility sniffs her. There were some jokes about that-----and Eve said she found out the usual way. There was a lot of joking around this time none of which I could understand.
RTD said he hoped Torchwood would run for years but it depended on this series ratings. Eve and John joked about playing their roles on Zimmer Frames and John gestured to his crutches. Jack turns out to have a Daughter and a Grandson, who calls him Uncle. The Daughter says it is disturbing to have a Father who looks younger than you do and Jack says he has found a gray hair. Ianto visits his sister, I think it was his sister, and she has seen him out with a gorgeous Guy. Ianto says he isn't Gay it is just Jack. Jack and Ianto are a couple in this and interact like a couple. I must admit I have never handed out money to Mair and Gareth the way Ianto does to his nephew and niece in this.
There were a great many kids in this and they were quite frightening at times. I do not know if, or how, they could have a child friendly version. We get introduced to a character who seems nice but turns out to be evil and at the end the Hub blows up---Gwen and Ianto get out but Jack, having already survived being shot twice--well---wait and see--it's rather revolting----and fairly ingenious too--at least in my opinion---
The Government seemed hopelessly awful and evidently Aliens visited before in 1965. Neither Dan or I were born then---there was much talk of frequency 456, which the Aliens transmit on-----I think---I had the usual problem of understanding some of the speech. I missed things the black female said and also Gwen and the old man. I also couldn't understand some of what Eve said in the discussion and when she laughed and talked I couldn't understand a thing. Dan was no help either.
At the end a very small boy took the microphone and said "Do you like my costume?" He looked cute and John said he was the best Captain Jack he had ever seen. I thought John was starting to look in pain at the end, although he hid it well. Having a daughter with a broken ankle, I know the look. He was very good to come at all. He is so concerned with not disappointing anyone.
We went home and arrived around 9.30. Harry was watching TV but the others were asleep. Anna-Louise and Fern were squashed together in Fern's bed. They looked like a couple of angels. Fern is so dark and Anna-Louise is so fair. Rhys was together with William. Williams dark head was right next to Rhys's blond curls. BJ was in his crib which we took next door. He was asleep luckily. He often doesn't sleep much. I started to wonder what this new one will be like------

Family stuff--not particularly private----
Rhys is now definatly {sorry my spell checker doesn't know what I mean here} going to be left handed. I feel sorry he is because he has gotten it from me and I am very left handed and useless at doing things with my right hand. Harry has the right solution as he is ambidextrous. He got into trouble at Schule for this because he writes with both hands and the handwriting is different with each hand. I had to explain that he writes with both hands. He can write with them both at the same time and going in two different directions if he wants too-----
Anna-Louise sang a solo with the Schule Choir. She had to do it sitting down. She has crutches and is very pleased with them as she says it is like John. She, Fern and Carly made a large Get Well card for him and I had to send it to Cardiff BBC. It cost a fortune to send. It has a picture on the front of John on crutches which all three of them drew. Anna-Louise did the head, Fern did the body and arms and Carly did the feet. It is remarkable and at the same time totally unrecognizable as John. It has Get well soon inside written in 6 different languages.hmm
Harry was 15 yesterday. He is lovely and I am so proud of him. If he continues to work hard he stands a good chance of getting into Oxford or Cambridge we have been told. Rhys is three on Sunday. We are holding a party. Oh help---
Finally--Georg and Helga are calling their daughter Henrietta Helga. The poor little thing will be HHH then.

A moan about Jack/Gwen

Off to take kids to Schule and found another Gwen/Jack vid on YouTube. The last one I saw I posted that Gwen was married to Rhys and the maker of the vid said I know but I like Gwen with Jack!!!
I mean--Jack is with Ianto and Gwen is MARRIED to Rhys--what is it about that that these folk can't understand!!!!!!!!!!

Spent most of yesterday at the Hospital. Anna-Louise went for a check up on her ankle and they said she had to have a new plaster. I didn't quite understand what they said but it was something about her foot moving in the plaster when it was damp so it wasn't healing properly. Anna-Louise was very unhappy about loosing her plaster as it was covered in drawings and words, so after they cut it off they gave it to her. They told me her ankle must have been very painful but Anna-Louise said it wasn't. So----
When we got home we had to go back almost right away because BJ put a bead up his nose. When Anna-Louise was younger she had all these beads in different sizes and colors. They were supposed to be threaded to make necklaces and bracelets. Anna-Louise used to play Schule with them. She would have them all lined up with a large bead at the front who was the Teacher, I guess. Then they would go out to play and she would roll them around the floor. Anyhow, Rhys has them now and he just sorts them into color groups. It looks terribly boring but he does it for ages. Anyhow, BJ grabbed a bead and put it up his nose.
Putting things up your nose is a Hartmann thing. I remember Mama telling me once that Uncle Franz put a Daisy up his nose. It was one of those big ones and the ends of the petals were hanging out of his nose. Mama herself put a Rosebud up her nose and Erik put a Candie up his. So I had to return to the Hospital. I left Anna-Louise and Rhys next door {Dan was working} and Harry was with a friend for a Sleep over.
I went up to the desk carrying BJ who was most unperturbed by having a bead up his nose. I only knew he had a bead there because Rhys came to me crying and saying that BJ had one of his beads. When I asked where BJ had put the bead, as he didn't seem to have it when I looked, Rhys sobbed that it was up his nose. The Woman there smiled and said "Oh hello again Mrs Sierakowiak." It was quite embarrassing. Anyhow, they got the bead out and BJ screamed as only BJ can. However, he only screamed once the bead was removed. I maybe could have gotten it out myself with tweezers but I didn't like to try.
It was nearly 10pm by the time we reached home and BJ was still awake. I felt nauseated this morning so I didn't go to Mass. Anna-Louise and Harry went with Molly. Anna-Louise was supposed to stay home with her foot up but keeping a 10 year old still with her foot up is beyond our powers so she went on her crutches. Her new Plaster is Purple-----ugh. It is a pale Purple so maybe the correct name is Violet. I must ask Rhys-----. It is his 3rd Birthday today and the kids have just all gone home. They had a great time in the back yard and the noise was amazing. I am doing this while everyone else cleans up. Dan said I was to go and sit down---so.
Just something funny to add. When Anna-Louise played with the beads she often had lines of them behind small cups. Every now and then she would take a bead out of one of the cups and put another one in. Finally I asked her one day what they were doing {the beads that is]. Got any ideas {if anyone reads this}?
Evidently the cups were toilets. Hmmmm

Very long day. Finished a story!!!!!!!!!!!! BJ said "Mama". Actually, he was trying to put on his shoes and when he saw me he extended a leg and said "Shoe, Mama."
Rhys told me a joke which he learned at Kindergarten evidently. He just came up to me and said "Knock knock" so I said "who's there?" and he said "Doctor" so I dutifully said "Dr Who" and he laughed and laughed. Molly told me this has been around for years and years.

So he is dead then. We heard this morning and Harry said "I expect something important dropped off". I said he evidently had an heart attack. Anna-Louise said "oh, he was that funny man with the weird nose." He was certainly a very seriously odd person. Talented but quite odd.

I finally got my hands on the latest Torchwood Magazine {off Anna-Louise} and discovered the following facts from Eve Myles--
Gwen is very clever--she was a fantastic Police Woman---
Er--what? She is in her late 20's and is still walking the streets and is still a PC and hasn't heard of Torchwood when EVERYONE else has----she doesn't believe Jack when he tells her things {like the existence of Fairies {for example}--she doesn't follow orders from people who have more knowledge and experience than she has--etc etc----and this makes her a fantastic Police woman and very clever?
I now believe in an Alternate reality because Eve is obviously living in it. I was starting to warm to her but I realize this was just because she is pregnant and so am I. It has gone now. Like a fever----------

A lot of what I see as the irritating things about Gwen is the fact that RTD decided the average Sci-Fi viewer was an idiot who needed a "lead in" character to help them understand what was happening. This opinion seems to be shared by other TV program makers unfortunately. Thus Gwen has to be unaware of Torchwood so she can get curios about it. Her partner therefore has to know about it, otherwise folk might want to know why he doesn't investigate with her.
Since Jack evidently does not hire people just because they turn up at Torchwood it is then necessary to make Gwen immune from Ret-con. Since it has presumably worked on literally thousands of folk for years and years this I found unlikely and indeed the whole way of introducing her was what my Husband would call "a lame plot device." Anyhow, if, as is said in later episodes, Jack had been looking for someone like Gwen for an 100 years how come he Ret-conned her? Her persistence in finding out about Torchwood and immunity from Ret-con is, I guess, the first reason he hires her.
Later we find that she does not apparently follow orders. As she is supposed to have been a fantastic Police Officer this must mean she does not follow Jack's orders, but other people's are OK. She is also somewhat unsympathetic toward her fellow team members. When Jack is upset about loosing a person he loved very much she hangs around and asks questions, when he really would need to be left alone to grieve or just have a shoulder to cry on. She is unsympathetic to Ianto when he is grieving and in general does not show any interest in any problems anyone else has. She seemed to me to be most uncaring person in the Hub in Season One at the same time as the public were told how wonderfully caring she was and how she was the Heart of Torchwood.
Then we move to Season Two and find out that Gwen, the most inexperienced member of the Team, is in charge while Jack is absent. This I found ridiculous. We move on and she gets captured and almost dies. Later, she gets married and refuses to call off the wedding even though she is pregnant with an alien and the whole situation is bound to be dangerous. She acts as if she doesn't care what happens to anyone as long as she gets what she wants. What she seems to want is not Rhys, but Jack, as when she is dressed in white ready to marry Rhys she passionately kisses what she believes is Jack. She has already had an affair with Owen. The excuse being that she can't talk about her job to Rhys so naturally this makes her have sex with Owen, because he is there in Torchwood.
Finally we get the episode where Tosh and Owen are killed. This had some great acting but also had the scene where Gwen tells the Assembled Cardiff Police Force what to do about the Emergency they face. Dan thought this was hilarious and watched it over and over again laughing all the time. He said it was amazing that Gwen was just a PC in a force that was made up of so many idiots. I said it was a Plot Device intended to show how magnificent Gwen is. In our House it didn't work.
RTD apparently has wanted to kill off Ianto twice, but the popularity of the character made him change his mind. This, despite the fact that he has said in interviews he doesn't care what fans of the program want. In general, surveys and questionnaires from various countries have revealed the unfortunate fact that Gwen is consistently the most unpopular character. She was less unpopular in Season Two than One and it remains to be seen what the Mini Season Three will bring. Of course, some folk do like Gwen and some love her. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I am just talking generally.
Personally, I have thought since I first saw the program that RTD intended to eventually get Jack and Gwen together. However, he has had to face the fact that even some Gwen fans are not eager for this. Besides, it is falling back on the old thing of the two leads getting together. I have seen it in a number of programs and it always seems to ruin the program and hasten its end.
Actually seeing some of these folk in the flesh was what Molly next door would call an eye opener. Euros Lynn looked like a thinner and less fit version of one of Dan's builders. Eve Myles was surprisingly ordinary looking after I had read several times about how gorgeous she is. She also seemed very excitable. She was actually more hyper than JB, although his ankle may have been a restraining influence. RTD himself looked overweight and messy and didn't impress me at all in any respect.
I hope we are not going to see the death of Ianto and Gwen saving the day. In any event I am still convinced, whatever other folk say, that Torchwood is finished, so it doesn't really matter what RTD has done with the characters, but I would like it to end with Jack and Ianto together.

I have no doubt at all that some folk will be irritated about this because they love Gwen and she is fantastic. Well you are entitled to your opinion and so am I. I am just having a moan and no one important will read this anyhow. This is my LJ. Thanks.
Someone posted the summery of COE episode 5 which evidently says that Gwen is left alone to save the World, or something like that. They asked for comments and I was interested in the fact that all the usual comments came out that we have all read before.
Some folk were worried about the program being a "Marvelous Gwen saves the World with a very tiny amount of help from Jack and an even smaller amount of help from Jack" thing. {My words}. Then we drifted into the usual stuff about how Gwen was written as a flawed character and how she is just like us etc. How she didn't get more screen time since Season One when she had to have more as she was the eyes of the viewer.
Someone on Gallifrey actually watched all the Episodes and posted the amount of time each Character had. I have lost the link but I can recall quite clearly that I was shocked about how Gwen dominated Season One and also Season Two, although to a lesser extent. I am surprised that everyone seems to have forgotten that Torchwood was written as a Spin off from Dr Who specifically for the Character of Captain Jack. It was, in effect, written for John Barrowman, not for Eve Myles. She is the SECOND LEAD.
Then we come to the constantly repeated statements that Gwen is the eyes and ears of the audience, she is the heart of Torchwood, she is the only person with a normal life outside work. She is just like us, the viewer. We identify with her and we find out about Torchwood through her.
OK. The only person with a normal life. Since we don't actually see very much of Owen and Tosh's home life and none of Ianto's, this leaves me with the feeling that according to RTD you are only living a normal life if you have a partner to go home to. Since he and his partner only see each other at weekends and do not live together this means he isn't normal, presumably. We do not know enough of the teams lives outside work to tell if they have an outside life at all and the theory that they do not have one is Gwen's alone, therefore, since we are supposed to be seeing everything through her eyes. This leaves me with a feeling that she isn't a very pleasant person.
Then there is the "heart" thing. Gwen is the only person in Torchwood who is sympathetic to other people, who understands "normal" folk and who feels their pain when anything awful happens to them. Really? Well, she isn't a bit like this toward her fellows in the team, is she? However, we see things through her eyes and the team, to her, don't count because they aren't "normal".
Then we come to the identify thing. Well, some folk have said they are just like her but I can't identify with her at all. I mean, she was, at the age of 28, or whatever, walking the streets in the rain, still a PC. Living with a guy and having no degree and no kids. By the time I was 28 I had 2 degrees, had lived in several different countries and was married. I had had 2 kids, one had died, and I can't identify with Gwen at all. She is nothing like me. She is nothing like anyone I know and I know a hell of a lot of people.

Note about Baby

Last week I went to the Doctor for my regular check up and I told him I was worried because I am bigger now than I was with the others at this stage. I went to the Hospital and Dan came with me which was lucky because we are both still shocked.
"Any multiple Births in your Family?" someone asked, so I explained that there are triplets and several sets of twins. Everyone there smiled cheerfully. I was terrified, and being terrified when you are being Utrasounded is very unpleasant.
Anyhow, we are having triplets. Yes, TRIPLETS. Two are identical. I am still shocked. I have twice as many Hospital appointments now and strict orders on what I am supposed to do and not do.
Everyone has promised to help but it will be very difficult. As it is I got up late today and Dan and Harry got the littles dressed and washed and fed etc.
Can't write any more--I just hope they are OK--I don't even care if they are all boys----
Addition: As if is this isn't hard enough to deal with BJ's hair has gradually turned red. Everyone keeps joking, saying something about Milk Men. I do not even drink Milk. Anyhow, our Doctor asked us what color our Parents hair is and we have decided that Dan's mysterious Father must have been a Redhead or a Brunette with the recessive red gene. BJ looks just like Dan as an infant as I have seen a Photo.

On the Second viewing this was not quite so good. It was still excellent but I have a few reservations about it.
SPOILERS BELOW UNDER CUT------BE WARNED
As was true about both Season One and Season Two there was too much Gwen. This wouldn't be quite so irritating if I could understand what she says. Now this is not a "Jennell can't understand the Welsh accent" thing, because if it was, I wouldn't be able to understand my Brother-in-Law, or my niece and nephew, who all have Welsh accents. I wouldn't be able to understand Gareth in Torchwood either. I have no trouble with them but I only get about one third of what Eve says, so it must be her. She gabbles and mumbles, I guess.
I am also worried about Gwen dominating this Mini Season even more as I keep reading over and over that she is left to save the Earth from Episode 2 onwards. Where the fuck are Ianto and Jack? Jack is immortal, isn't he? Why isn't he saving the Earth? Gwen has stopped taking orders completely here too. Not that she ever obeyed any anyhow.
I was irritated by the office scene too. The older woman just gives the new girl her password so she can access loads of secret info that seems to have no other security on it. She doesn't even seem to think that the new girl will promptly look at things she is not supposed to see. This is ridiculous. I have more security on my own personal stuff on the PC than that. Does RTD not use a PC? If Government officers are really that incompetent Heaven Help us all----I know this was a Plot Device but it was stupid and unconvincing.
Because of the Gwen dominance I feel that I do not care now if there is no more Torchwood. If there is any more it will obviously be turned into a "Gwen the Magnificent, with a very tiny amount of help from her underlings, saves the World again and again." I don't want to see that, and if it was shown I wouldn't know what the hell she was talking about anyhow. Even at the BFI, when I heard her speak from a short distance away, I missed a lot of what she said.
Oh who am I kidding-----I hate the Character of Gwen and I don't like Eve much either. I have tried very hard to change this, but I can't seem to manage it. I wish RTD would stop writing, actually as it is his fault we have Gwen. Why is he so obsessed with her?

Feel much better now and BJ is ASLEEP. Rhys was eager to go to bed, but only because he has a bed now. It is so funny really, he gets up, collects his Teddy and says "I'm going to bed because I'm a big boy."
I am not sure whether I am eager for Torchwood tonight or not. The truth is I do not want to see any Gwen. I just don't want to see any Gwen at all and I know there will be more of her than anyone else because there nearly always is.
I think I will watch later and miss out her bits. It wont spoil the story because I often don't know what she is saying anyhow. When I did a Drama course years ago our Tutor was very enthusiastic about clear Diction. What a pity Eve wasn't there. However, she presumably doesn't speak German.
Spoke to Georg on the Telephone and he had me speak to the Baby--now that is weird---I told him about the Triplets and he laughed. He seems to think it is typical of me-----
Very worried about Erik as he is going to Zimbabwe. I wish he wasn't going. He said God wants him to go. I must have a word with God about that {Joke}.

Since BJ and Rhys were asleep and Anna-Louise was getting ready for bed I decided to watch this and I wish I hadn't bothered. Just as I feared it was overwhelmingly devoted to "magnificent Gwen."
Below is my own personal opinion.
This episode was not written by RTD but it was obviously planned by him. Even though Gwen knows Jack must be alive, as he can't die, she is now offering to employ people. She dominated the episode to a ridiculous degree.
Anyhow, I have lost all interest in it as a result of this episode and despite the presence of John Barrowman I will not be watching any more. I have finished with Torchwood. I am, quite frankly, so sick of Gwen and her incoherent mumbling that I am even willing to miss John.
This whole episode was a great disappointment. There was hardly any John, who is supposed to be the main star, and not enough of Ianto either. I really want this to end so John can do something else. The story too has started to become really stupid. I have read better things written by amateurs on Fiction Web sites.
I am very disappointed by this after the build up it has had.

I am seriously pissed off this morning. OK, I am in a minority of one. I have never been in a minority of one before and I don't like it. It is horrible. I watched a bit of COE ep 2 again and I still hated it. It is still a stupid story and I know the Government Forces wont win because they are idiots.
Gwen is so irritating, running around and shooting over and over again without reloading her gun, and there was too much of her. There was also too much of the dumb ass Government Officials. That ugly guy with the two daughters and the old guy who slobbered over the glass of the poison case at the end made me mad. There was hardly any John and seeing his ass didn't make up for that as I have a piccy of him totally naked anyhow, someplace, if only I could find it. Ianto was underused and having him roaming around in his ruined suit was just daft. Someone would have wanted to know what had happened to him.
Over at Torchwood they wanted to know why I hated it. At least, they said they wanted to know. However, I have experienced this before on other matters. "Why didn't you like A?" they say "it was so great." So like a fool I tell them why and then get loads of abuse heaped on me because they really don't want other folks opinions unless they agree with their own.
I am so tired of this and wish Torchwood would end. I had this feeling ages ago that we would have Gwen thrust at us after they killed Owen and Tosh and I was right. This last Episode was awful, it was just Gwen, Gwen, Gwen all the time and I LOATHE her. Anyhow, I think in Episode One when Jack told her to do something she said to him "do it yourself, you can use a computer." I don't think I heard that wrong. She really is a bitch and the writers are now writing as if she is in charge of Torchwood and not Jack. Maybe everyone else doesn't mind this but I hate it.
What a great idea of RTD to have Jack blow up so he could be missing for most of an Episode and everyone can concentrate on magnificent Gwen. Presumably this happens again as we have been told over and over again that in Episode 5 Gwen is left alone to save the day. So Ianto will be killed and Jack will be, where?
Of course, we are all supposed to be in love with Gwen and her hair. They are always going on about her hair. Even folk who say they do not like her go on about her hair. Well, everyone I know loves my hair. In Church on Sunday, some woman I hardly know came up to me and whispered in my ear "I love your hair." This is weird. I just grew it so instead of being short, blond and curly it is now long blond and curly. Hmmmm
I was amused by the person who screen capped the episodes though. She said "there will be lots of Gwen because I love her hair." Well, I felt like saying, she has had it all cut off and now it is just like everyone else's, same style you can see all over the place.
Actually, I am mad with everyone connected with Torchwood because it has been a massive LET DOWN. Dan says it is because I am pregnant I am like this. Well, maybe it is. I have three humans growing inside me. It is enough to make anyone a bit odd.
We are going home to stay with Georg when the kids are free of Schule. This will be nice and we will see the Baby. Georg is now firmly settled in Mama's house and we are waiting for everything to be finalized. We have been told we will get around 20,000 pounds in British money. This will be fantastic because of the Triplets. I still can't believe how much money Mama had.

Just finished watching Without a Trace. Very good episode. All the cast had a role to play and the story was very satisfying and totally convincing. I am so glad I watched it instead of Torchwood.
Rhys went to sleep right away in his bed and I left BJ sitting in his crib watching his mobile pigs. They go around in a circle and the music plays Brahms lullaby. Their eyes wiggle too. He loves them. I think they are hideous. We had the Monitor on and every now and then we heard him making noises. Then he went quiet and we could hear that he was asleep. Dan went to see and the pigs were still going around and BJ was sleeping so he left them on. {The pigs that is.}
Harry came in one minute early and Anna-Louise went to bed at 9.30 after doing her homework, so all is well. I am tired and am going to bed now too.

Someone on IMBD forum has posted the details of how this ends. Evidently Ianto is killed. Jack goes off traveling alone --teleported upwards or something--Gwen and Rhys are left intact and unscathed.
Some folk are saying this is all untrue but I don't think so. This Episode has been written by RTD and he has been trying to kill Ianto since the first Season. This mini Season has been an attempt to get everyone to love Gwen and it seems to have worked with everyone except me. Even people on Anti Gwen are now saying they have started to love her.
I started to watch Torchwood because of John Barrowman but it soon became obvious to me that, despite the fact we were told it was developed for the Character of Captain Jack, it was really always thus:

This contains spoilers if you haven't seen the Episode so be warned.
Well, I guess now everyone who watched, which wasn't any of us, knows that Ianto is dead. I for one will never watch any Torchwood again. However, I fear that some sort of Torchwood will return. It wont be MY Torchwood. It will be RTD's idea of heaven. A program devoted to Gwen, his great love. Gwen will be in charge of Torchwood. Rhys will help her and there will be some new characters.
RTD will be hated by Ianto fans for a while but they will soon forget and get involved in the new characters. Torchwood will have a 4th season and the ratings will fall and that will be that. I wish it was over now even though I have stopped watching it. I wish they hadn't done this mini Season. I have had this feeling ever since Owen and Tosh were killed that the program was destined to turn into the Gwen Cooper show as basically this is what it has been all the time. RTD has been very crafty and has now gotten rid of everyone but his darling and the BBC and everyone else has let him do it.
Although I am a pacifist I have this dream of finding RTD and tearing him to pieces very slowly. Seriously I would love him to become unemployed. I would like to see him unemployed, for a very long time.

I have been very tired and upset lately and when I went to the Dr this morning he said I needed a rest. I asked him "how?" and he said I should try to get away for a few days. HMMMM
Anyhow, when I spoke to Gisela at lunchtime today she said come over here for a bit. So I am going to stay with her and Tom and Gareth {going this Saturday}. Rhys and BJ will come with me. As soon as Anna-Louise and Harry break up from Schule they will come with Dan. Then we are all off Home for a while.
Gisela is on Dial-up {for some reason} so I may not be able to post any updates for a bit. I am eager to get away but will miss Dan terribly and Harry and Anna-Louise. Anyhow, Gisela said "we'll look after you all" so we are going. Gisela is so lovely. The best sister ever.

I am off to the Wilds of Wales tomorrow. Anna-Louise is going to come with me, along with the Littles. I got permission from her Schule this morning. She is still in Plaster and I had to arrange about that too. It was a bad break not helped by having to have her plaster removed and redone. She is quite fast on crutches. Kids are so brave about these things. She was desperate to come with us. I hope we have good weather for traveling.

My thoughts on the Torchwood Writers.
Having read what the writers are saying about COE, they are all virtually saying the same thing. What it amounts to is, I write for myself and I do not care what fans of programs say, think, or want.
This, in my opinion, does not make someone a great writer.They are saying that they write in a vacuum for themselves only. This is not the hallmark even of a good writer.
Charles Dickens is accepted as a great British writer. As I understand it, as a foreigner who has read Dickens in German, Dickens wrote many of his most famous stories in installments. They appeared in a Newspaper. People would write into the paper and ask what had happened to a character and make suggestions on what they hoped would happen next. Evidently Dickens sometimes reintroduced characters simply because people {ie Fans} asked him to.
If this was good enough for Dickens, a truly Great writer, it seems odd that the writers of Torchwood are so dismissive, even rude in RTD's case, about fans of Torchwood.
Without fans and viewers, TV writers would be out of a job. Many online vocal fans of programs actually do a fantastic job of promoting certain programs among the population.
Despite this, the writers of COE have treated fans like dirt. Well, this goes both ways. I shall not watch anything any of them have written in future.
Also, having lived in the USA I can assure RTD in particular, that treating fans of a program like shit will not be received well over there. I think he is in for a rude awakening.
We are in North Wales on dial up and I am having a bit of a rest as Gisela is great with the Littles. I feel much more cheerful already--mad but cheerful.
My real opinion of COE

Since this is my LJ and I am pregnant with Triplets I feel I ought to be able to voice my true, and largely impolite, opinion of this.
1. It was not Torchwood. They billed it as Torchwood to make people watch.
2. The writing was full of Plot Holes and some of it was bloody awful.
3. RTD wanted to try to ensure that there would be no more Torchwood as he was leaving.
4. The other writers have admitted they do not care or pay any attention to anything program fans say or do.
5. Gwen's character was just as irritating as ever. In Episode One when Jack told her to do something she said to him---do it yourself.
6. John Barrowman was billed as the star of Torchwood from the start, and we were told it was developed for his character, but this was a lie as Eve Myles has always had more to do and more air time, and now newspapers are starting to say in articles Torchwood, starring Eve Myles and not even mentioning John.
7. I hate it when writers continually kill off characters in shows and then say rubbish like, Torchwood is a dangerous job. IT IS FICTION YOU BLOODY IDIOTS- THERE IS NO ORGANIZATION LIKE TORCHWOOD.
8. I hope there is no more because they have ensured it will be all about Gwen, and I still loathe Gwen. I will always loathe Gwen.
9. They abandoned Ianto because they were scared to show a successful gay relationship, not for any other reason. He had to die because gay relationships cannot succeed.
10. I have heard Euros Lynn and RTD speak live now and they are both far less intelligent than the media tells us they are. Some of the direction of this was lousy and a mess and WOULD SOMEONE TELL EVE MYLES TO STOP MUMBLING INTO HER HAIR---

I have several times tried to post on this site that I didn't like COE because it was too depressing and each time they have rejected my posts. I have said each time that John was great in it and I haven't criticized anyone individually. I was surprised that there were so many posts saying how great it was and I feel obliged to point out that this is not the true state of affairs, as they are evidently rejecting any posts that say anything else. I feel this is incorrect as we are supposed to be able to talk about things in a truthful way there. I am mad about this as it is giving folk the wrong impression.

I keep reading that Eve Myles is a great actress when I think she is quite average and even mediocre at times. I keep reading that RTD is a great writer and I think he is quite average and mediocre at times too. Personally I think my daughter has more talent in her little finger than either of these self centered big heads and my oldest son is a better actor than Eve any day and he can dance too.
As for the Littles--discovered with some shock that Rhys can read some words. I was reading a local newspaper and he was sitting on my knees looking at the pictures in the paper. Suddenly Rhys shouted out "Look--Rhys" and there was his name in print. He then pointed to the word dog and said "dog". He can also pick out "cat" and "bird".
While I am talking about cats, back home JB evidently brought a live Lizard into the house. Dan and Harry had a lot of trouble rescuing it from three excited cats. They eventually caught it and put it in the Back yard, where no doubt it was found later and mauled.
Miss Dan very much. My bed is quite empty and he has warm feet. Somehow, having Rhys crawl into bed with me in the early hours clutching his Teddy isn't quite the same, especially if he brings BJ with him. BJ is very lively even when asleep. Dan says he dreams. Hmmm.

I am pissed off again.
Just read some real shit on the Torchwood web site. Some idiot posted a load of crap saying that the fact that so many fans of Torchwood were mad, pissed off and generally enraged about COE means that COE was a really great Drama and wonderfully written. What is more most folk seem to agree.
OH YEAH--you brainless idiots have never gotten mad, irritated and generally insane with rage over something that was BADLY WRITTEN--BECAUSE IT WAS CRAP?
I am mad with RTD and the other writers because COE was a great disappointment. I was mislead about Torchwood from the start. Now I have found out a few things we viewers and fans were never told and which explains a great deal.
RTD originally wrote a sci-fi series pilot that integrated elements from the X-Files and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He pitched it to BBC as "Excalibur" prior to getting the green light for the Doctor Who restart. BBC said no.
After the first series of Doctor Who did so well, BBC requested a post watershed show that was linked to Doctor Who. RTD pulled the Excalibur script off the shelf and grafted Captain Jack Harkness onto it. It picked up the name Torchwood, which had been the early code name for new Who and Torchwood started getting integrated into the DW universe.
The original Excalibur script centered around a female Cardiff police constable that accidentally gets involved with a secret government agency.
So technically, even though we were sold Torchwood as a DW product with the addition of Jack Harkness, he was never meant to be the main character. And now, RTD has Torchwood back to his original Excalibur plan- centered around the female character and all of the messy quasi-DW references cleanly wiped away.
I got this from another site and all credit to whoever found out this info which explains why we had too much Gwen from the start and also explains what happened in COE. However, as the BBC rejected this to start with, it seems weird that they have now gotten it by round about means.
I am concerned that we will have a Torchwood Season 4 devoted to how wonderful Gwen is, and, not matter what folk think of Eve Myles as a person, and no matter how many best Welsh whatever she receives, she is really quite an average actress who most people hadn't heard of before Torchwood. If Torchwood ceases I think Eve will eventually go back to Welsh Soaps and there is nothing wrong with being in Soaps.

Russell T. Davies has evidently given a number of interviews lately. Among them he has praised Eve Myles and said she is the greatest actress in Britain and more or less said online fans of Torchwood are of no importance at all.
Well, much as I love JB, I am not going to watch any Torchwood if there is a Season 4. I still haven't watched Season 3 Episodes 3-5 so this will be quite easy to do. From the start I was disappointed in Torchwood. Some Episodes were good but on the whole it was a vast let down. I watched for John and I liked him with Ianto and I enjoyed Tosh too. RTD has ruined the whole thing for me and I will never watch any more of it.
Selfishly, I hope there will not be any more because John may do it if there is and he could be doing so many more things instead. A lot of on-line folk are really mad about COE but it will not make any difference. RTD LIKES to piss off fans and the BBC are under the impression that he is one of the greatest TV writers in the UK. Perhaps he is cheap. The BBC are always saying they are short of cash.
Anyhow, I am seeing John on stage in October and also in January. The Triplets will be here by then so I may not manage January, but still----
Dan and Harry have now arrived here in Wales. It was so lovely to see them that I just cried. I hugged Harry so hard he got embarrassed. I think he was secretly pleased though. Dan looked fantastic. He is so gorgeous and I am so lucky. The House is very crowded now as Mair has arrived too. There are 10 of us in a three bed roomed property with only two toilets and only one bath and a shower. It's great to be part of our family! Dan and I are sharing our room with Rhys and BJ and Gareth and Harry are sleeping on the living room floor. Anna-Louise is with Mair. We are very cosy.

Jen is in Hospital--a note from Dan.
Jen asked me to post this and so here it is. Yesterday she fell down the stairs and is in Hospital now. She is OK and they scanned her and the babies are OK too but they are keeping her in a couple of days for observation just in case they said. She is to come out Thursday. She was worried about the babies but they are fine and they told us that they are well protected and a nurse told me that in Victorian times unwed Mothers often used to throw themselves down stairs and they still didn't miscarry. I was still worried though and so was Jen but it seems things are fine anyhow. They are Sierakowiaks and we are a tough lot. She tripped over a toy car.

Home.
I am home. I came out of the Hospital and today we came home. I am very bruised but OK and so are the Trips. I have to have one of those detailed scans that show everything {whatever they are called--brain is going}. I had an ordinary one in Wales and they said something about my dates were wrong and the Trips will arrive earlier than I thought. I didn't really follow what they said to be honest as I was too worried about the Trips and so was Dan. Anyhow, everyone seems to think all is well and they let me home so----
Caught up on JB news and he is due to be in Desperate Housewives and some other thing in the US. I hope he doesn't stay there. He is real busy and I cannot see how he could do Torchwood, although they have renewed it, evidently. I thought COE was rubbish and badly written and miserable, so naturally loads of folk seemed to have watched it. There was too much Gwen and I know I am in a minority, but I don't like Rhys either. I think it was the sight of his butt in Season One--ugh. However, unlike, it seems, most women I am not fascinated by Men's rears.
Off to bed now as everyone else is asleep, even Harry and BJ!

JB is a sex pest --- I have lovely scans.---BJ swears in Tesco.
According to some DJ, JB is a sex pest. Hmmm, he should try meeting some of my Dan's builders if he thinks JB is a sex pest--they could teach him a thing or two---what a lot of fuss about nothing--the usual crap when anything involving flirting is concerned. It is fine to flirt like crazy with members of the OPPOSITE sex and even be quite rude but if anyone flirts with someone of the same sex they are a sex pest-----
Anyhow, I have some great scans of the Trips and Dan has taken the pics to work so a crowd of builders will have seen them today. I once went to a site Dan and his men were working on and I was wearing a skirt and it blew up. I don't wear underwear unless I am pregnant so they all got a good look. {I shave too--oh what an admission}.
Rhys has taken to carrying a Thomas the Tank Engine book plus an actual engine everywhere he goes.
This is starting to become inconvenient as he sometimes wants to carry something else and hasn't enough hands. BJ has added some new words to his expanding list and now can say several new swear words which he seems to pick up from anywhere and never forgets. I went to Tesco this morning and had him and Rhys sitting in one of those double seater Trolleys. Rhys was looking at his book and clutching his engine and while I wasn't looking BJ grabbed a pack of rolls and, with admiral but irritating dexterity, opened it and started eating a roll. When I took it off him to pay he didn't scream, he just looked calmly at me and said "oh fuck".
Anna-Louise is finally going to have her plaster removed this week. It has been quite an ordeal for her. She will then have to go to physiotherapy. I am so tired of that plaster I can only imagine how pleased she will be to get it off.
Harry is in a Karate Competition this Saturday. I hope he doesn't get too nervous. He says he isn't worried at all but I know he is. He just doesn't like to admit it. I told him I would be just as proud of him if he came last in everything he does as long as he tried his best. Of course it would be great if he won.
They have told me the Trips are due December 15th. I thought they said January 1st but now they say December, based on the new scans. I don't know who is more confused--me or them--{probably me}.
We are trying to think of names without any success--if anyone reads this and has any ideas--please let me know---my brain is going---

Quick note.
Gisela has finished translating my diaries into English as I haven't the time. She had a few already but discovered {after we lost Mama} that Mama had kept everything all of us had ever written. Frightening!! I shall put some here as they are funny. {To me anyhow.}
Here is an example from 1976---
Mama and Papa made us go with them to see Uncle Fritz and Aunt Hanna. They have a pet chicken called Wilhelm and it lives in the Kitchen. It sits on the stove and when we went in, the Stove was lit and Wilhelm's tail caught fire and Papa threw a bucket of water on it. It just burned its tail a little bit and made a horrible smell. Aunt Hanna has a hat with chicken feathers stuck into it and at Christmas they dress it in a dress and it dances, Mama says. It is a girl chicken even thought it is called Wilhelm.
{These people were not relatives--they were close friends of my Father}.
And more weirdness from 1977---
Georg and me went to pick strawberries and Georg ate too much and was sick. I ate more than Georg but I am never ever sick ever. I went to school without my knickers on and I tore my skirt and it showed. I got told off because everyone saw I had no knickers on but I don't care. I sat next to Patrick and he let me pick his scab. Then his arm bled and we got told off. I bit Otto on the nose because I hate him and he cried and I got told off so when we got let out I followed him and kicked him on the leg. It was all his fault I got told off in History because he trod on my foot when I stood up when I went to answer. Erik told me I was a bad girl and that girl's shouldn't fight and Gisela was cross with me because I bled on her knitting. Mama is teaching me to knit but I can't do it. I shall just buy things when I grow up.

Diary with note about Torchwood
I haven't written anything for ages. I find I cannot write about Torchwood at all. I think it is because in my mind it has finished and everyone is gone or dead, except Rhys and Gwen. I have never liked the character of Gwen and I don't like Rhys either. It is the way he is written I think, plus the image of his naked butt wiggling in an early episode. According to physiologists womens favorite part of a man is his butt. However, it isn't with me. Perhaps I have changed too many diapers {joke}. My favorite part of a man is someplace else {guess}.
Anyhow, I have formulated in my mind an entirely new set of stories featuring a group of folk invented by me. It is to be set in the future {not too far in the future} somewhere far off in the Galaxy. It features an odd group of folk who decide to set up an agency to deal with --well if anyone reads it they will find out----.It is intended to be humorous. The main characters are to be Jan Bronski, Oskar Bronski {his cousin}, Esmeralda Cook and David Pirie. Oskar is very tall and has pink hair. Jan is shorter and looks normal, but is a little bit dim and takes everything people say literally. Esmeralda is a neat freak and David is --well I haven't gotten that far yet.
If anyone has read my story about the Garuldian Frog they will have some idea of the way this series is going to go---.
I have promised to put up Anna-Louise's Torchwood Rabbit story called "Magical Flying Crockery." I think it is funny but being her Mother I am probably preducist. {I know that is wrong but my spell checker doesn't know what I mean, sorry}.

At Hospital and know the sex of the Trips now---
I was at the Hospital yet again for more check ups etc. While we were looking at the Trips on the screen they asked if we wanted to know the sex of the babies. Dan said yes right away and they told us. Anyhow, the Twins are boys but the third baby is a GIRL. I am so excited about having another girl. They told us that they weren't sure of the sexes the last time I went but this time they are positive. Dan said we wanted a girl but we didn't expect her to come with an escort!
I have stopped feeling queezy now and am starting to resemble a small Whale. I can feel the Trips moving around quite clearly now too. Just like BJ they are more lively at night when I want to sleep or relax. It was so fantastic seeing them again today.
We are now seriously considering names. We have more or less decided that the boys will be called Joseph and Joshua. We made a list of boy and girl names and those are the top two boys. The top girl name was Aime-Rose, which Anna-Louise saw someplace and we liked.
We told the gang about having 2 boys and a girl and Anna-Louise actually cried. She has so wanted a little sister. I made a mental note to myself to not spoil her when she arrives. At 24 weeks they may survive outside me, so there is 2 weeks to go.
I feel full of energy and enthusiasm for everything right now. How long will that last I wonder?
Rhys's reaction to the babies sex was real funny. He scowled and snarled "not more boys". I think he is finding BJ a little irritating just now---

Note about JB dream etc
The back yard is full of Apples and Pears and we have been picking them. I had a dream last night in which the whole family, including the Trips, {!!} were out there picking fruit. Suddenly JB arrived and started picking fruit with us. He looked great in a pale blue shirt and jeans.
Slightly disappointed that no one has commented on the Trips names. However, I must admit I have not commented on anyone's journal lately, so---. However, I am getting more tired and by the time I have done the accounts and had a quick look at various sites and dealt with the family I have no energy for anything else. Oh excuses, excuses---, especially as I was boasting yesterday about how much energy I had----it runs down quickly though----

Note---
Dan came home at half three and they all went out plus everyone from next door, so I am FREE. However, I have the washing to sort. It is clean and dry and in a big heap waiting to be -er---socks paired--shirts ironed etc.
Found myself sitting talking to the Trips--hope this is not a sign of impending madness. I have been singing to them too. Luckily I can actually sing and have sung solos, in Public too.
Rhys wants to learn to play the Piano. He keeps sitting at it and trying to play. He doesn't thump it the way 3 year old kids usually do. He has watched Anna-Louise and myself play it and tries to imitate us.
BJ awoke us up around 3am by getting into our bed. He smelled horrible and had Anna-Louise's Gwen figure clutched in his hand. Her head is loose since Harry removed it to make a movie where she looses it. Now it is gone and we can't find it. I asked BJ where it was and he pointed to the ceiling. I hope one of the cats hasn't swallowed it. I hope BJ hasn't swallowed it as he has swallowed things before. It is a bit big and lumpy though.
We are all well and I am getting bigger by the hour {mad exaggeration time folks}. I have actually started to write a story. It has been floating around in my head for a while. I think I mentioned it before. It is set in the future and is about a group of weirdos who set up an Agency. It is not on Earth and there are dinosaurs in it. It is intended to be a Series. Hmm.
Anna-Louise's Torchwood Rabbits story about the Crockery is waiting for Harry to check the Grammar. I have promised to post it then. You have to keep your promises to kids so it should appear here sometime soon. Anyhow, it is good. She has quite a talent my Anna-Louise.
Harry came second in his Karate Competition. He was pleased and we are very proud of him. When a couple of years ago he got into fights etc I was worried, but he has become so lovely. He is great and I overheard someone at Church saying what a great credit he is to us. I feel it must be more Dan than me because I was an horrible kid and am no good at discipline either.
I wonder what the Trips will be like? BJ's hair is red. It is like a flame. One thing, we will be able to spot him in a crowd! I keep wondering if he looks like Dan's mysterious Father. He looked like me but now he has changed and looks like---who? We don't know. When Dan's Brother was here Dan discovered he didn't know who Dan's Father was either. Dan would love to know.
I have stopped visiting Gallifrey because the comments there were driving me mad. According to them Torchwood has been Officially renewed, Gwen is great and will lead Torchwood when it returns, Jack will appear later in the Season, Gwen will remain in charge, Eve Myles is such a magnificent actress she deserves an Oscar, COE was the best Torchwood ever, RTD is the world's greatest writer-----etc etc---. The last time I logged in there they were having a spirited discussion about who would be in Gwen's Team when Torchwood returns. I didn't like COE and I do not want to watch the Adventures of Gwen Cooper.
I realized the other day that I prefer programs with a large ensemble cast of at least 5-6 regular characters or more. That way, if you don't like 1 or 2 of them, it doesn't spoil your enjoyment. The trouble all along with Torchwood for me was TOO MUCH GWEN and being continually told how wonderful she was didn't help. In fact, with me, that often has the opposite effect. The more I am told someone or something is wonderful the less I like it. Obviously this is weird or adverts would never work. I guess I am just awkward and stubborn. I always was as a kid.

I was mad with Rudy today as he put a Spider down my neck and I chased him and I caught him by the brick wall and banged his head on it and he told his Mama and she told Mama and Mama was mad but Rudy's Mama laughed because he is bigger than me. I Have the Spider in a box and I have to catch flies and he is called Otto and I put the flies in the box and he wraps them in web. He is very clever. I love him. I will let him free soon because it is cruel to keep him. He has long legs and a fat body.
Well--I was in love with a Spider. Hmmm.

Antigwen again.
Bothered some folk at this site again. Someone suggested that Eve Myles gets nervous at Conventions etc. This is a tendency of Actors. They claim that they are really quite nervous and shy people. I have heard loads of them do it and I do not believe a word of it. If you are a nervous type of person you do not go into show business, in my opinion. However, saying I am hardly ever nervous and I am full of confidence would not impress many people who would then conclude that you are a self centered big head, so they nearly all claim to be shy in real life. I am not saying that none of them are ever nervous etc--just that many of them probably aren't--ever.
Of course, most anti gwen folk are terribly eager to say that Eve is lovely and fantastic in every way except when she is being Gwen. Hmmm.

Ianto or Rhys.
They are now saying in the US that for COE it was either Ianto or Rhys to be killed. I do not understand why any of them had to be killed. OK, in some programs one member of the cast might be killed if the actor wants to leave or something but for most of a cast to be killed--I can't think of any other program in which this has happened.
RTD and the other writers response to criticisms has been, basically, oh fuck off fans, we write for ourselves and if we want to kill off everyone we will--so bugger off---. However, I was under the impression they were employees of the BBC, so they are writing for the BBC not for themselves.
Anyhow, Torchwood has not yet been renewed despite numerous Web Sites saying it has been. If it is renewed I cannot see how JB could fit it into his busy schedule and it will be just Gwen, Rhys and a new cast, which, for all we know, might be killed at any moment. That is not my idea of a good program and I will not be watching.
